What service do I need?

For medical issues which are new to us, the duty doctor will triage your request on the day you make contact. For clinical safety, we must assume all new medical requests are urgent until they are assessed by a doctor. If this applies to you, please make an urgent medical request.

Consider using Pharmacy First for common minor conditions.

For routine medical care issues we already know about such as asthma reviews, medication checks, and contraception for example, our admin team have the skills, confidence, and protocols to process these requests safely. A doctor will review these within two working days. If this applies to you, please make a routine care request.

If you are requesting a sick note for the first time and have not previously consulted a doctor about this issue, please complete a make an urgent medical request for the duty doctor to review.

Don’t forget: the NHS App is also a great way to access most of our online services and it gets better all the time. It’s very easy to use, so we encourage all our patients to download it.
