Tuesday Lunch Club

Our weekly Tuesday Lunch Club provides a freshly homecooked, two course meal and a great place for people to socialise and make new friends.

Friday Exercise Classes

These classes are provided by specialist, NHS trained instructors and as well as being great fun, are designed to give participants a thorough workout to improve mobility, strength and flexibility. There are two classes:

The 10:30 am chair assisted class is for people who are mobile. Accompanied by uplifting music, this class provides a good all-round work out.

The 11:30 am class-based class is for people who may have mobility problems and are unable to stand for long periods. As well as helping with strength and mobility, the class is fun and a great way to meet new people.

Positive Living

Every second Monday of the month we have a friendly positive living group where a facilitator gives guidance and advice on a range of health and wellbeing issues.

Film Club

Every third Monday we also have a film club showing the latest movies as well as classics. During the interval we serve popcorn and ice cream.

Tea and Talks

We hold 'Tea and Talks,' with a speaker and light refreshments kindly donated by the local Co-op. Past speakers include a wildlife photographer on birds and butterflies of Manchester, slides of Belle Vue Circus and a film maker's travels in Tibet!

Digital Drop In

At the Digital Drop In people can get advice on how to do things online whether it is buying train tickets, doing the weekly shop or sending and receiving emails. Wednesdays 2-3.30.

Day Trips

We organise regular day trips. Over recent years we have visited many places including Buxton, Llandudno, The Bourne Poacher, St Annes, Chester Zoo and Trentham Gardens. We have volunteers who can help wheelchair users and help everyone have an enjoyable day out.

Coffee Group

Come along for a coffee or tea with a biscuit and a chat and a weekly quiz, on a Wednesday 1-2.30pm. Every third of the month we have shared reading group from the library where a reading is discussed.
