Dr David Adams
Dr Adams has been a partner at Ladybarn Group Practice for 10 years. He is an 8 session doctor at the practice. He is also a Foundation doctor trainer, baby clinic GP, and practice representative for the local PCN. He is also a clinical lead for Quality and Performance at the CCG. Outside of work he is married with 2 rapidly growing children and he enjoys running and cycling in his spare time.

Dr Yasmin Hoosen
Dr Yasmin Hoosen is a partner at Ladybarn Group Practice having joined the practice in 2012. She obtained her medical degree from Manchester University and then completed her GP specialist training in 2004. She is the diabetes lead at the practice and she is a GP trainer. She is bilingual and can also speak Urdu. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, walking and exploring the National Trust.

Dr Clare Murray-Brown
Dr Clare Murray-Brown is a partner at Ladybarn Group Practice having joined the practice in 2012. She qualified from Bristol University in 2001, completing her specialist training in the South West. Her interests include women’s health and she is our lead for family planning services. She also helps provide the baby clinics and is a “Perinatal mental health champion” for south Manchester. She is a GP trainer, and our safeguarding Lead. She has three children and is married to a local GP.

Dr James Anderson
Dr Anderson is a partner at the practice. He got his medical degree from Manchester University in 2010. He also completed a Masters in Ethics and Law there. He became a GP in 2016 and went on to obtain a postgraduate certificate in General Practice from UCLan. He joined the partnership at Ladybarn in 2019. He is a GP trainer at the practice. Outside of work he is married to a loving husband and he occasionally dabbles in making art, when he finds the time.

Dr Susan Phoenix
Dr Phoenix graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2009. She completed her foundation and general practice training in Manchester, joining Ladybarn Group Practice in 2014 as a salaried GP. She holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and has an interest in women’s health, helping to provide family planning services with contraceptive coil and implant procedures.

Dr Emma Barnsley
Dr Barnsley qualified from Liverpool University in 2009 with Honours. She completed her foundation training in Liverpool and then worked as an Adult and Children’s A&E Doctor in Auckland, New Zealand. She completed her GP training in South Manchester in 2016. She has an interest in infant health and post natal care and helps run the baby clinic. She is also Child Safeguarding Lead.
Dr Barnsley is currently on maternity leave with her second child and due to return in June 2025.

Dr Thomas McCaffrey
Dr McCaffrey graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2015. He completed his Foundation Doctor and GP training at Wythenshawe Hospital, which included a placement at Ladybarn Practice. After completing his training in 2020 he joined Ladybarn as a salaried GP. Dr McCaffrey works as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester and is also a foundation doctor clinical supervision. Outside of work he is married with two young children and can normally be found at a ParkRun on a Saturday morning.

Dr Daisy Walters
Dr Walters graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2017. She completed her GP specialty training at Manchester Foundation Trust, and was a GP registrar here at Ladybarn. She runs the practice’s minor surgery service alongside Dr Pigney, and is also trained to provide joint injections. In her free time she can be found walking the dog, or training in Brazilian Jiujitsu.

Dr Hannah Pigney
General Practitioner. Dr Pigney runs a minor surgery clinic and also supervises the 5th year medical students who are based at Ladybarn Practice.

Dr Kate Poole
Dr Kate Poole graduated with honours from the University of Leicester in 2010 and worked as a junior doctor in Leicester before moving to Manchester to complete her GP training. Dr Poole completed a diploma in geriatric medicine in 2014. In addition to her work at Ladybarn Group Practice, Dr Poole works as a GP with a specialist interest in elderly care for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, with a particular focus on providing holistic care for patients in their homes.
