Getting an interpreter

We can book a free interpreter for your appointment, including British Sign Language. For most routine appointments the interpreter comes in person. For same-day appointments and phone or video appointments, a spoken-language interpreter usually joins by phone. Tell us which language you need when you contact us. You do not need to bring a family member or friend to interpret.

If you need information from us in another format, such as large print or easy read, see our accessibility statement.
