Domestic abuse

If you are being hurt, threatened or controlled by a partner, ex-partner or family member, you can tell any of our staff. We will listen and help you get support.

We are an IRIS practice. This means our doctors, nurses and other staff are trained to recognise domestic abuse and can refer you to a specialist advocate who can help you stay safe.

Immediate action required: Call 999 if you are in danger now

If you cannot speak, stay on the line. When asked, press 55 on a mobile phone. This lets the operator know it is a real emergency, and they will put you through to the police. From a landline, stay on the line and the call may be connected to the police if the operator hears anything suspicious.
